A dedicated team of 36 professionals in the RPD forms the core of RSC’s remediation programme that collaborates extensively with both internal stakeholders (across all RSC departments) and external parties, including participating brands, factories, trade unions, industry associations, and governmental bodies. As a key implementation partner of the International Accord Secretariat, the RPD plays a pivotal role in Bangladesh’s country-specific safety programme under the Cooperation Agreement. The department’s responsibilities encompass the scheduling and prioritization of inspections, monitoring of remediation efforts, monitoring the progress of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), facilitation and coordination of technical meetings, and comprehensive stakeholder engagement.

Additionally, the RPD administers the processes of factory relocation, closures, occupancy verification, remediation finance and implements escalation procedures when safety issues remain unresolved.
